These 20 papers are concerned with the following aspects of transit: the CityMobil project; carsharing; express bus versus rail transit; promoting public transportation; land consumption impacts of a transportation system; transit accessibility to jobs and employment prospects of welfare recipients; bus versus rail: meta-analysis of costs, capacities and land use; walking distance and transit-oriented development; multitasking of rail passengers in an urban corridor; onboard ticket sales; ridership growth from extended transit service hours; use of entry-only automated fare-collection system data; transit passenger information websites; urban travel training for older adults; regional rail park-and-ride users response to parking price changes; and a citywide personal rapid transit system.
