Availability: Find a library where document is available Abstract: Many congestion pricing projects are now operating in the United States and other nations, including the pricing of high-occupancy vehicle lanes and new express lanes, the conversion of tolled or toll-free facilities to variable tolls, and the application of congestion pricing within an area or region. In the United States, with support from the federal government, states and localities have made important strides in the application of congestion pricing in the past 15 years. This progress is expected to continue, with congestion pricing becoming a more important component of U.S. urban transportation policy.
