Title:
Pavement Testing and Design 2008
Accession Number:
01121592
Abstract:
The 14 papers in this collection address pavement testing and design. Specific topics discussed are as follows: Extended-life hot-mix asphalt pavement design; benefits of the Minnesota Road Research Project; calibration of mechanistic-empirical models for flexible pavements; perpetual pavement response to vehicular loading; repeatability of asphalt strain measurements; coefficient of thermal expansion of concrete materials; adaptation of the Mechanistic-Empirical Pavement Design Guide (MEPDG) for design of Minnesota low-volume concrete pavements; ground penetrating radar for detection of delamination in concrete pavements; accuracy of current complex modulus selection procedure from vehicular load pulse; effect of traffic load measurement bias on pavement life prediction; conversion of testing frequency to loading time applied to the MEPDG; database support for the MEPDG; pavement rutting performance prediction by the integrated Weibull approach; and local calibration of the MEPDG for flexible pavement design.
