Abstract:

Following an earthquake, the performance of highway bridges is a major concern. Innovative methods have been developed for near real-time damage assessment of highway bridges using remote sensing technology. Bridge Hunter produces a catalogue of key bridge attributes and images from a range of airborne and satellite sensors. Bridge Doctor assesses the damage state of bridges by evaluating changes between images acquired before and after an earthquake.
