Abstract:

Ongoing training of transportation personnel is necessary to impart new skills, sustain skill levels, and provide updates on evolving threats, vulnerabilities, and risks. This article presents an overview of some of the strengths, inadequacies, and progress toward establishing a coordinated, cost-effective, efficient national program to provide transportation security training for a geographically dispersed workforce with diverse needs.
