Accession Number: 00929285
Record Type: Component
Availability: Find a library where document is available Abstract: Marine links proved vital in supplying several industries threatened by the highway congestion caused by border security measures after September 11. Logistics managers worked overtime to identify and implement alternative transportation plans, including the waterways option, to meet just-in-time requirements. This point-of-view article concludes that the United States should continue to develop the cross-border water freight option.
