The status of several activities that have contributed to this increased level of activity is summarized. Also, the results of a survey of AASHTO member states that solicited responses to questions on the use of management tools, ranging from management systems to asset valuation and decision-making tools, are reported. The survey results support anecdotal evidence that there is a heightened awareness and activity level focused on the topic of asset management.
