Abstract:

Many organizations have performed research and published materials that provide a solid, quantitative basis for the public's general understanding of the linkage between transportation and the economy. This conference presentation briefly reviews some of these data sources, then comments on the future, where a new world will make immense demands on our descriptive capabilities, both statistically and analytically.
