Abstract:
These welcoming remarks offer a brief look into the future on the topic of contaminated sediments in the nation's waterways. The issues to be discussed at the symposium include (1) risk reduction, (2) sustainable management, or adaptive or continuous management, and (3) reuse. The symposium seeks the perspectives, ideas, and constructive criticisms of stakeholders.
