Availability: Find a library where document is available Abstract: The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) believes that what our modern transportation system really needs is alternatives to the automobile. To travel quickly, to move people and goods efficiently, and to breathe clean air and protect ecosystems at the same time, people must be given choices. EPA's perspective on intercity passenger rail is that it is the responsibility of everyone at this conference, including EPA, to make sure that options are built into the nation's transportation system, and intercity passenger rail is one of those options.
