Record URL: Availability: Find a library where document is available Abstract: The approach used to model freight movements in a large rural study area is described. The study conducted for the Quad County Regional Transportation Organization in Washington State is an example of one demonstrating that traditional urban transportation planning techniques can be applied in perhaps a new way to perform detailed analysis of freight movements. It is also an example of how quick-response methods (similar to those described in NCHRP Report 187) were applied to enable the project to be completed within 6 months at a lower cost.
