Availability: Find a library where document is available Abstract: This article discusses the updating of National Cooperative Highway Research Program (NCHRP) Report 230, "Recommended Procedures for the Safety Performance Evaluation of Highway Safety Appurtenances". The project (NCHRP Project 22-7) was a team effort with input being provided by a large number of people in various disciplines, not only nationally but internationally. The resulting document, NCHRP Report 350, "Recommended Procedures for the Safety Performance Evaluation of Highway Features", is a consensus document. The project, which began in June 1989 and was completed in August 1992, was conducted at the Texas Transportation Institute. One major change incorporated in Report 350 is the adoption of the International System of Units (SI).
