Abstract:
Reported here is a Federal Transit Administration (FTA) perspective on high occupancy vehicle (HOV) facilities. The discussion covers three general topics: the new Metropolitan Planning Regulations, including the portion addressing major investment strategies; the Advanced Public Transportation Systems (APTS) program; and the transportation model improvement program, which applies to travel forecasting models.
