Availability: Find a library where document is available Abstract: Vancouver International Airport enjoys the dual distinction of being Canada's principal gateway to Asia and an attractive destination and transfer point for North American and European passengers. To maintain that lead, the Vancouver International Airport Authority launched an ambitious $350-million expansion program in 1992 that includes a new runway and international terminal building. The new terminal, now under construction, will secure Vancouver's future as one of the world's premier gateways. This paper discusses the increased international activity at Vancouver International Airport, the new terminal design, and the construction funding and schedule.
