Availability: Find a library where document is available Abstract: This workshop presentation discusses the current financial strength of the U.S. airline industry, looks at what the immediate future holds in terms of traffic growth and earnings, and summarizes the basic concerns and challenges facing the industry. Among these concerns and challenges are the management of growth, airport and airway constraints, load factors, and capital requirements. Concluding remarks concern ownership issues, political issues, and the future of the airline industry.
