Abstract:

This presentation describes a comprehensive inventory of Kentucky's inland waterway system developed in 1984. The inventory identifies the number of river miles in each of its 8 rivers, the locks, dams, cargo handling terminals, commodities, expenditures, and other information. Kentucky has 9 autonomous port authorities to promote waterborne commerce and water-oriented industrial development.
