Title: PASSENGER CAR EQUIVALENTS FOR UNINTERRUPTED FLOW: REVISION OF CIRCULAR 212 VALUES
Accession Number: 00396830
Record Type: Component
Availability: Find a library where document is available Abstract: As part of an overall federal effort to allocate road user taxes, a number of recent studies have been directed toward the calibration of passenger car equivalent (pce) values for trucks. These studies have provided the opportunity to review the pce values for uninterrupted flow contained in Transportation Research Board Circular 212, "Interim Materials on Highway Capacity." The results of these efforts and their implications for highway capacity analysis are reviewed. Specific recommendations for revisions of the pce values of Circular 212 are made.
