The survey is limited to truck, rail, and air transportation and is based on publications within the past 5 years. Specific areas of research include vehicle and container technology, emergency response technology, traffic flow and accident information, risk assessment, and policy analysis regarding operations, emergency planning, and regulations. The results of computer searches and surveys of journals and periodicals are summarized, and references are included.
