Abstract:

This document is intended to create a bridge between work that goes back more than 50 years and still informs efforts today to understand the impact of bituminous mixture aging on performance. It compares two test projects that were conducted in Minnesota. The paper provides background and preliminary information, summarizes the two studies on mix and binder aging related to performance, and offers final comments.
