Abstract:

This issue contains 18 papers concerned with highway capacity and quality of service. Specific topics addressed in this issue include the following: connected vehicle deployment; driver-assistive truck platooning; remotely operated stop–slow controls in work zones; saturation headway in urban work zones; truck following behavior; optimization and modeling of tollway operations; effects of urban street incidents on capacity; performance measurement on two-lane highways; delay at signalized intersections; passenger car unit estimation on multilane urban roads; and pedestrian delays at signalized intersections.
