It synthesizes the need expressed by airports and public agencies to exchange geographic information and related resources, highlighting effective practices and industry trends. Nine case examples are summarized. The report findings are based on a literature search, as well as information from organizations that responded to the on-line survey and/or agreed to be interviewed by phone. The audience for this report is airport planners, designers, engineers, and GIS specialists and their counterparts in public agencies.
