Elastic fastening is the vital important component for non-ballasted track fastening systems, it provides elasticity and fixes rail to sleeper. So it is significant to figure out the natural dynamic properties, which is the basic of research of dynamic behavior under the traffic load. Based on the modal analysis theory, finite element (FE) software ABAQUS was used to model the type W1 clip and analyze its dynamic properties. The first 30 natural frequencies were identified and the anterior 9 mode shapes were described. Calculation conclusions and suggestions about the clip W1 were also included: the fundamental frequency of the clip W1 is 352.58Hz; the first 6 order vibrations of the clips are straightforward, they are vertical, lateral and longitudinal translations and rotation around vertical axis of the right limb and left limb respectively; the vibrations start to get complicated after the 9th order vibration; in order to avoid the possibility of clips failure caused by resonance, the non-ballasted track should not vibrate at the natural frequencies.
