Title: The Bus Rapid Transit Performance Assessment Guidebook: A Decision-Support Tool for Bus Rapid Transit Implementers
Accession Number: 01332992
Record Type: Component
Abstract: This paper describes the development process of the Bus Rapid Transit Performance Assessment Guidebook (BRT PAG), which provides a decision support means for users – primarily transit agencies and State Departments of Transportation – to understand at a high level the benefits and costs associated with implementing bus rapid transit systems. The BRT PAG allows the user to investigate the impacts of different elements of BRT implementation on different stakeholders, along several dimensions of impacts. The guidebook directs the user to different sources of information about the nature of the impacts and gives direction for how to measure those impacts. The current website for the BRT PAG Tool is http://path.berkeley.edu/BRT-Performance-Assessment-Guidebook-Tool/ and is best accessed and viewed via Microsoft’s Internet Explorer web browser.
