Abstract:

A team of U.S. transportation experts traveled to Europe in 2004 to review construction management practices and returned with a new perspective on achieving customer-oriented goals through collaboration between the public and private sectors. Team members now are working to change the culture of construction management practices in the United States, and the results are beginning to be seen across the country.
