Abstract:

To improve the way engineers are taught to communicate, the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Georgia Tech developed a program that placed the instruction of communications skills in an engineering context. The goal of the program is to teach engineering students the written, visual, and oral communications skills they need to compete and succeed in the workplace. This article describes the program and its accomplishments over the past decade.
