Availability: Find a library where document is available Abstract: The AASHO Road Test provided significant results that led to improved pavement design following the Road Test and to an expanded research effort by the pavement engineering community worldwide. In particular, it resulted in the development of what is termed today mechanistic-empirical (M-E) pavement design. Results of the AASHO Road Test also contributed to the development of nondestructive pavement evaluation, including overlay pavement design and to the development of pavement management concepts.
