Availability: Find a library where document is available Abstract: This article briefly examines two conferences that explored the crossroads of pavement preservation and asset management. More than 300 attendees benefited from the combined programs of the 1st National Conference on Roadway Pavement Preservation and the 6th National Conference on Transportation Asset Management, held October 31-November 3, 2005, in Kansas City, Missouri. The joint sessions, organized by the Transportation Research Board, provided an opportunity for practitioners in asset management, maintenance, and other transportation arenas to share information, acquire new skills, and network with colleagues.
