Availability: N/AFind a library where document is available Abstract: The planning efforts in the development of a new fifth parallel runway at Hartsfield Atlanta International Airport (ATL) are described in this workshop presentation. Because planning and development of airport facilities is increasingly affected by environmental and community concerns, more emphasis must be placed on environmental considerations as part of the planning process. ATL's primary environmental concerns are aircraft noise and air quality.
