Abstract:

Airport parking facilities are one of the most significant revenue contributors to airports, but how airports set parking rates differs. This report focuses on practices in airport parking pricing to better understand factors that airport managers use in setting parking rates. Information used in this study was attained through a literature review and interviews of airport staff responsible for parking operations. Although the 30 airports interviewed were diverse in size and geography, they all had similar goals; how the airports attained those goals varied. The strategies airports used to meet their goals are identified in this report.
