This conference presentation discusses airport capacity in the 21st century from the perspective of fifty years in the future (2050). The author concludes that the problem of airport capacity was solved, with part of the solutions coming from physical facilities, part from information systems, but most of the solutions coming from institutional change, which was so difficult for people to see 50 years ago (2000).
