Abstract: This digest identifies and briefly describes federal programs that can fund passenger transportation for various purposes. Opportunities for coordination of services provided under these programs are discussed and highlighted by case studies of successful coordination. The disadvantages to coordination are discussed, and topics for further research are proposed. This digest was written as part of TCRP Project J-6, "Quick Response for Special Needs".
