Abstract:

This symposium presentation provides an overview of transportation activities in the Boston area and extends an invitation to the Third ITMS Symposium which will be held in Boston in June of 1996. Four Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) projects that are under way are described. These are the Route 128 project, the SmarTraveler Operational Test, the Southeast Expressway HOV lane, and an Integrated Transportation Management System (ITMS) on the I-93 Freeway north of Boston.
