Availability: Find a library where document is available Abstract: Symposium participants are welcomed and told that the symposium will consist of the following: seven resource papers which help to define the Integrated Transportation Management Systems (ITMS) concept and the various components of an integrated system and also address many of the key issues and opportunities that may be encountered in planning, implementing, and operating ITMS; a plenary session describing the benefits of ITMS; another plenary session presenting ITMS case studies; a plenary session examining ITMS key issues; workshops; a general session presenting the workshop results; and a closing session. Comments are then offered on the ways in which the outcome of the Symposium will be used.
