MWRA is constructing new primary and secondary wastewater treatment facilities on Deer Island in Boston Harbor. The new facilities will replace two antiquated primary treatment plants located on Deer Island and Nut Island, which is in Quincy Bay. Information on project management, project mitigation, and the facility siting process is provided, and the marine facilities and transportation services and the Boston Harbor Project labor agreement are described.
