Abstract:

This Digest summarizes Transit Cooperative Research Program (TCRP) Project H-5, "National Workshop to Develop a Research Agenda for Increasing U.S. Transit Ridership". The objective of the workshop was to develop problem statements for research on increasing transit ridership. The Digest is organized as follows: Introduction; Background; Appendix A - Workshop Participants; Appendix B - Problem Statements Selected by the TOPS (TCRP Oversight and Project Selection) Committee; and Appendix C - Research Problem Statements.
