Title: BORDER CROSSINGS AND NAFTA-ARE WE READY FOR THE FUTURE?
Accession Number: 00713820
Record Type: Component
Availability: Jerry M. Faris 4106 Tralee Road Abstract: The North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) removed trade barriers for Canada, the United States, and Mexico, but created a list of transportation issues to be addressed. This paper, which appears in a compendium of conference papers, assists planners in understanding the existing barriers to the efficient movement of trucks and automobiles across borders and the implications for infrastructure. Recommendations are made on where public and private sector efforts should be focused to enable existing infrastructure to serve more efficiently.
