Abstract:

This paper, presented at Session Number 93 of the 70th Annual Meeting of the Transportation Research Board (TRB) on January 15, 1991, in Washington, D.C., discusses land access to the Ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach, and specifically, the long-range plan for an improved rail and highway corridor along Alameda Street (the Alameda Corridor). The Alameda Corridor project costs and schedule are examined, as well as potential sources of financing.
