Title: ECONOMIC IMPACTS OF TRANSPORTATION FUEL CONSUMPTION IN THE DALLAS-FORT WORTH AREA
Accession Number: 00450309
Record Type: Component
Availability: Find a library where document is available Abstract: A mechanism is demonstrated for evaluating the impacts of transportation fuel consumption and price on a local economy. The project was derived from the observation that economic impacts of transportation actions and policies are often desired by local decision makers. It is also observed that the effect of changes in local transportation fuel expenditures on a local urban economy is generally unknown in any quantifiable form. The overall objective of this investigation is to incorporate local economic considerations into the urban transportation planning and decision-making process.
