Title: RELOCATION ASSISTANCE PROBLEMS AND PROSPECTS
Accession Number: 00335139
Record Type: Component
Digital Copy: Availability: Find a library where document is available Abstract: This paper which highlights some aspects of the Uniform Relocation Assistance and Property Acquisition Act of 1970 which affect its implementation by federal agencies, draws from experience with the act and from problems encountered by the Corps in administering it. The lack of uniformity in the administration of the Act is noted. Attempts to correct this are also noted. Some problems in administering the Act stem from omissions or ambiguities in the Act itself. Most of the problems connected with the Act can be solved by appropriate ammendments. Several bills (most of them based on a General Administrative Office Study) are now pending before Congress.
