Title:
POLICY IMPLICATIONS OF URBAN TRAVELER RESPONSE TO RECENT GASOLINE SHORTAGES
Accession Number:
00330101
Abstract:
This paper reviews the major findings of prior studies of gasoline shortages, especially those studies of travel behavior during the 1973-1974 gasoline shortage. The discussion notes the important consistent findings between these studies and more recent studies conducted during the 1979 shortages. Based on this review, policy implications for short-range and long-range urban transportation planning are identified.
