Accession Number: 00330093
Record Type: Component
Availability: Find a library where document is available Abstract: This paper focuses on six types of services (rental-lease vehicles, shared-ride taxi, dial-a-ride, jitney services, school buses, and intercity bus operations) that may be particularly important during future fuel shortage. The potential value of each service and obstacles to expanded operations are discussed. A number of issues that seem to be of general concern with respect to all of these service types are highlighted. Finally, general recommendations regarding each service type are presented.
