Accession Number: 00096445
Record Type: Component
Availability: Find a library where document is available Abstract: Travel decision-making is described in behavioral terms, and an alternative to conventional travel forecasting is suggested. Two issues are considered. The first is the order of travel decision-making. The second is the interaction of travel decisions. This paper defines the order of travel decision-making with expected utility theory, and it describes the interaction of travel decisions with dynamic programming. The resulting travel model is based on theories of decision-making and is unique in this respect.
