Title:

EXPERIMENTAL STUDIES ON VISCOSITY OF ASPHALT CEMENTS AT 77F

Accession Number:

00211710

Record Type:

Component

Abstract:

A DIRECT APPLICATION OF CAPILLARY RHEOMETRY FOR MEASURING ASPHALT VISCOSITY AND SHEAR SUSCEPTIBILITY AT SERVICE TEMPERATURES IS DEVELOPED. THEORETICAL CONSIDERATIONS, PROCEDURES AND APPARATUS, AND THE PARTICULAR FACTORS AFFECTING RHEOLOGICAL MEASUREMENTS ARE DISCUSSED. EXPERIMENTAL TESTS INDICATE THE FEASIBILITY OF A TEST METHOD BASED ON A CAPILLARY TYPES DEVICE.
