Abstract: A TABLE SUMMARIZES THE NATURE OF RESEARCH BEING CONDUCTED BY UNIVERSITIES, RESEARCH ORGANIZATIONS, GOVERNMENT AGENCIES, AND OTHER GROUPS ON ADHESIVES AND BONDING AGENTS. QUESTIONNAIRES WERE SENT TO 21 ORGANIZATIONS, OF WHICH 13 RESPONDED. THE RESPONDENTS ARE PLOTTED AGAINST FIVE MAJOR RESEARCH CATEGORIES (SEAL COATS, ADHESIVES, BINDERS FOR MORTARS, APPLICATION TECHNOLOGY, AND OTHER RESEARCH PROJECTS), EACH OF WHICH IS BROKEN DOWN INTO CONSTITUENT RESEARCH AREAS. RESEARCH IN THE RESULTING MATRIX IS SHOWN AS PAST, CURRENT, OR FUTURE.
