Abstract:

The different levels of data collection is presented and discussed in this paper. Land-use and other data collection programs of the Pittsburgh Department of City Planning is used as the basis for identifying the relationship between the types of detailed data and resulting information needed for specific decisions on transportation facility development correlated with comprehensive planning. The data collected can also be applied to planning more generalized transportation networks.
