Abstract:
THE CAUSES AND PREVENTION OF SURFACE CORRUGATIONS ON UNPAVED ROADS IN ARID REGIONS ARE STUDIED. TESTS ARE MADE ON A LARGE OPEN AIR CIRCULAR TRACK AND IN THE TRANSAHARIAN ROAD IN AFRICA ON THE EFFECT OF THE PERIOD OF OSCILLATION ON THE UNSPRUNG PORTION OF THE VEHICLE, VEHICULAR SPEED, AND TIRE PRESSURE, AS WELL AS THE GRAIN SIZE AND GRADING OF ROAD MATERIALS. /AUTHOR/
