Title: MANAGEMENT OF ACCIDENT DATA SYSTEMS. INTRODUCTION AND CONFERENCE PURPOSE
Accession Number: 00371717
Record Type: Component
Availability: Find a library where document is available Abstract: Most of those persons promoting and selling improved highway safety through state and community grants programs do not know which programs have been successful and which have not. It is important that highway safety information should be collected and organized into a management information system to effectively plan, analyze and oversee the highway transportation system. Problems must be defined clearly in order to identify those factors amenable to countermeasures through the grant system. If programs are to be focused more sharply, then management information systems should be improved.
