Title: TCRP Research Report 224: Guide to Joint Development for Public Transportation Agencies
Accession Number: 01780682
Record Type: Component
Availability: Find a library where document is available Abstract: Transit-oriented development (TOD) is at the center of virtually every discussion about smart growth, equitable development, and climate change. In that light, it’s no surprise that joint development— that is, TOD in which a transit agency is a participant—is a topic of growing interest not only to transit agencies themselves but also to developers, local governments, and community stakeholders. In 2018, the Transportation Research Board, through the Transit Cooperative Research Program (TCRP) and with the support of the Federal Transit Administration (FTA), launched an effort to create a practical, experience-based guidebook. This brief article discusses the development of the Guide and key findings.
