As part of TRB’s Centennial celebration, all 200-plus standing committees were invited to submit a Centennial Paper detailing their development and accomplishments. Offered is a glimpse at the breadth of topics and expertise among TRB’s volunteers. The six committees highlighted are: Standing Committee on Emergency Evacuations, Standing Committee on Aviation Economics and Forecasting, Standing Committee on Transit Capacity and Quality of Service, Standing Committee on the Transportation Needs of National Parks and Public Lands, Standing Committee on Design and Rehabilitation of Asphalt Pavements, and Standing Committee on Testing and Evaluation of Transportation Structures.
