This article discusses the study sources and regions, when TNC trips take place, trip lengths, trip frequency, the role of airports, and impacts on other transportation modes. The study found that the highest levels of TNC use are concentrated in core areas and near airports; the single top origin-destination flow is within a single zip code; heaviest use is during evening hours and weekends; and TNCs are used by people in communities across the socioeconomic spectrum.
